Representing the AFAB was Corporate Planning Department Manager Cristina F. Rodrigo, who delivered a keynote speech on behalf of Administrator and CEO Hussein Pangandaman during the thematic session on regional investment and growth. Organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) - North Luzon, in partnership with PCCI Bataan, the Provincial Government of Bataan and the City Government of Balanga, the two-day conference brought together leaders and stakeholders from across Regions I, II, III, and the Cordillera Administrative Region. This year’s theme, “Northern Philippines: Agile. Innovative. Soaring.” set the tone for discussions on competitiveness, innovation, and inclusive development in the region. Congressman Albert S. Garcia and Governor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III also took part in the conference, representing Bataan’s continuing push for regional economic cooperation. On the second day of the conference, AFAB headlined the session “Unlocking Investment Opportunities in North Luzon: Pathways to Growth and Prosperity,” where Ms. Rodrigo presented the FAB as a strategic location for manufacturing, logistics, tourism, and emerging technology sectors. She highlighted how ongoing amendments to AFAB’s enabling law are designed to strengthen its regulatory functions and expand its capacity to support investments in high-growth areas such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and other digital and technology-based industries. These developments, alongside streamlined facilitation and infrastructure planning, position the Freeport to play a key role in the region’s evolving economic landscape. The sessions also featured insights from the Department of Tourism, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Trade and Industry, and the Department of Transportation, highlighting national strategies for regional growth, infrastructure development, and innovation. These were complemented by presentations from Converge ICT, Eagle Cement Corporation, Sta. Elena Construction, and the Ateneo Family Business Development Center, showcasing how private sector leadership is contributing to Northern Luzon’s transformation. AFAB’s participation in this conference aims to reinforce its support for regional collaboration and its role in shaping Bataan’s position in the growing North and Central Luzon investment corridor. #INVESTintheFAB #WEareAFAB
