In recognition of its efforts and commitment towards transparency, the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) was once again awarded with a Freedom of Information (FOI) Certificate of Compliance for 2022 from the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).

The certificate signifies that the AFAB is fully compliant with the set FOI requirements, as validated by the PCOO, pursuant to Section 5 of Memorandum Circular No. 2022-1, issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance Monitoring Information and Reporting Systems (Task Force Administrative Order 25, s. 2011).

Relative to this, the AFAB remains committed to promoting an open government by championing every Filipino citizen’s right to information as enshrined by the constitution.
