‘Discover FAB’ set to lure global investors to Bataan

MARIVELES, BATAAN – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) will launch a tourism magnet program dubbed “Discover FAB” in a move to lure global investors.

AFAB, which operates the Freeport Area of Bataan, said they would start promoting tourism as one of the priority industries of the Freeport located in the seaside town of Mariveles.

“The ‘Discover FAB’ program will help in luring more investors to the Freeport and also promote the FAB across the country and around the world,” AFAB stated.

This was revealed during the recent presentation of AFAB to the Foreign Trade Services Corps of the Department of Trade and Industry’s International Trade Group.

The “Discover FAB” program will be complemented by the FAB General Information Campaign (GIC) which seeks to conduct wide outbound info drive across the country.

To be launched this year, GIC will include holding tours, conferences and seminars to further raise awareness about the advantages of investing in FAB.
Such advantages include FAB’s 5 Superior Advantages, namely: location, incentives, facilities, natural endowments, and business facilitation support systems.

“The FAB is the only Freeport in the Manila Bay area, the Philippines’ center of trade. The FAB is an ideal transshipment hub, strategically located at a prime transit point for domestic, regional, and global shipping,” AFAB stated in its website.

Also, AFAB expresses its firm commitment to meet the expectations and need of its registered locators through the FAB Retains program. The program aims to engender trust and confidence with stakeholders through strong interface and transparency.

They also plan to institutionalize its corporate social responsibility projects by introducing the FAB Gives program.
Under this initiative, the AFAB will forge partnership with the local government unit of Mariveles and the locators to formulate community projects.
