AFAB Supports Brigada Eskwela, Provides Assitance to Nine Bataan Schools
The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) supported the Department of Education’s (DepEd) 2018 Brigada Eskwela via providing assistance to nine different schools in Bataan.
Cans of paint were donated by the AFAB to Antonio G. Llamas Elementary School, BEPZ Elementary, Marina Bay Elementary School, Mariveles National High School – Malaya, Mariveles National High School – Poblacion, and Renato L. Cayetano Memorial School last 28 May 2018. The six schools have a total of approximately 8,000 students enrolled for the upcoming school year.
The AFAB continued its support of the Brigada Eskwela on 31 May 2018 by donating medical supplies to Mariveles National High School – Annex 2 Batangas Dos. The Agency topped off the week-long assistance by contributing cans of paint to Bataan National High School and Biaan Aeta Integrated School.
The Brigada Eskwela, which is the National Schools Maintenance Week, aims to bring together the education stakeholders in an effort to prepare the public school facilities for the opening of the school year every June. The 2018 Brigada Eskwela runs from May 28 to June 2, 2018 with the theme “Pagkakaisa para sa Handa, Ligtas at Matatag na Paaralan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan”.
