
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – The Agency’s first business sojourn of the year was a success as Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Administrator and CEO Mohammed Hussein P. Pangandaman, accompanied by AFAB OAd Group Head Atty. Percival Peralta, successfully forged promising collaborations with Korean entities during their trip to Seoul, Korea, last 18-22 January 2024.

The trip, in response to an invitation extended by PnB Group Co. Ltd., held the promise of fruitful discussions and partnerships in various sectors, including financial technology, IT-related projects, the importation of Korean products, resort development, and manufacturing. AFAB and PnB Group strived to lay the foundation for a robust partnership that could mutually benefit both parties.

Key partnerships also emerged during their trip, further expanding AFAB’s scope of potential collaborations. Notable among these interactions were meetings with Genesis BBQ Group eyeing AFAB for resort development and product importation. Le Diamant Group, on the other hand, expressed interest in the Bataan Beauty Tourism project, while Gentle Car Korea explored importing their camping cars to the Philippine market through the AFAB. They also conducted on-site visits to potential collaborators’ business units.






As AFAB Admin and CEO Pangandaman returned from this insightful trip, the seeds of collaboration have been sown, as he has encouraged Korean investors to explore and invest in the diverse opportunities within the FAB.
This signals only the beginning of a future of dynamic ventures and shared successes between AFAB and its Korean counterparts.
