A new oil refinery and waste-to-energy facility is set to be built in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) as the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) inks a Memorandum of Agreement with energy and energy development company, United Union Oil & Gas Inc. (UUOGI).
In his message, AFAB Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda committed to actively cooperate with UUOGI and shared how this activity is an achievement towards AFAB’s thrust of establishing a clean, reliable, and safe energy supply in FAB.
On the other hand, UUOGI Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Bagheri expressed his pleasure in choosing to invest in the FAB and anticipates contributing more job opportunities for Bataenos in their proposed construction of a 25MW waste-to-energy facility and an oil refinery with a 24,000-barrels per day capacity.
The aforementioned MOA stipulates the collaboration and continuous coordination between the AFAB and UUOGI to accelerate their official registration as FEA and eventually commence their projects in the FAB as planned.
Also present during the MOA signing were AFAB Business Development and Marketing Specialist Kelvin G. Rodriguez and UUOGI Secretary Mario Dalida.
