AFAB continues Back-to-School Programs at Barangay Maligaya
As part of the continued drive of providing assistance to the community, the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) provided assistance by giving school supplies to 400 students of Cayetano Elementary School at Barangay Maligaya last 25 June 2018.
The AFAB, together with the support of its registered enterprises including BFD Global Footwear Mfg. Inc., Desk Top Bags Philippines Inc., Medtecs Group of Companies, Rouvia Road Yacht Design and Construction Corp., Seasia Nectar Port Services Inc., Tai-tan Packaging of the Phils., Inc., and Warrensburg Mfg., Inc., gave bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, face towels and other school supplies to the students.
The program is part of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the AFAB and the barangays within the Freeport, one of which is Barangay Maligaya.
Present during the program was AFAB Deputy Administrator for Operations Alewijn Aidan K. Ong, Barangay Maligaya Captain Danilo Musni, and representatives from Desk Top Bags Philippines Inc., and Seasia Nectar Port Services Inc.
Deputy Administrator Ong during his opening remarks emphasized the importance of education for the new generation, and the partnership between government agencies and the private sector towards helping the new generation achieve a sustainable future.
