By virtue of Republic Act 11543 – “An Act Further Strengthening the Powers and Functions of AFAB”, expansion areas of the Freeport Area of Bataan can be declared anywhere within the province of Bataan.
As of end of May 2024 – there is a total of seventeen FAB Expansion Areas spread throughout eight towns and one city.
