CN Ambassador to the PH commends remarkable progress in the FAB
Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian expressed his delight and admiration at the present state of economic progress and infrastructure development in the zone during his recent visit to the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) on 18 April 2022.
“The prosperity I witnessed in FAB once again proves the importance of industrialization. I hope to see more Chinese companies investing in the Philippines and contribute to this great process,” the Ambassador wrote in a Facebook post.
Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda and Board of Director Atty. Aurelio A. Angeles personally accompanied Ambassador Huang and other members of the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines to several Chinese-owned FAB Registered Enterprises (FRES).
GICC Technopark, FCF Manufacturing Corporation, Ellix Technology Inc., and Seasia Nectar Port Services Inc. proudly welcomed Ambassador Huang in a presentation meeting and showed him around each company’s major facilities and ongoing projects. Following that, the AFAB also joined Ambassador Huang to GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. to meet with representatives of its main contractor, Shanghai Electric Power Corp. which is currently building GN Power’s 600MW Coal-Fired Power Plant.
With this visit, the AFAB vows to further exemplify strengthened foreign relations and cooperation to further push for inclusive growth and sustainable development in the FAB.
