The Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), under the leadership of Administrator and CEO Hussein P. Pangandaman, was among the agencies that received recognition at the 2024 Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations’ (GOCCs’) Day at Jose Rizal Hall, PICC Complex, Pasay City.

The event, graced by His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., celebrated the collective efforts of GOCCs in driving economic growth and fostering partnerships with the government. In his address, President Marcos, Jr. personally honored their invaluable contributions to the Philippine economy and to improving the lives of our countrymen.

AFAB’s remittance of 66.84 million pesos in dividends to the National Treasury for the past year marked a significant contribution among the 47 honored GOCCs, affirming its commitment to fiscal responsibility and its role in supporting governmental initiatives for national development.

Joining Administrator and CEO Pangandaman were AFAB Deputy Administrator for Support Services Ma. Lourdes L. Herrera and AFAB Chairperson Michael Dennis M. Ballesteros.
