FAB Town Terminal Opens, FAB-MOA Ferry Service Now Operational

1Bataan Integrated Transport Systems Inc. (1Bataan ITS) launched the FAB-MOA Ferry Service during the soft opening of the FAB Town Terminal last 16 May 2018.

Bataan Governor Albert Raymond "Abet" Garcia together with the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Chairman and Administrator Emmanuel Pineda, Vice Governor Ma. Cristina “Cris” Garcia, Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello "AJ" Concepcion and 1Bataan ITS President Mr. Manuel Carlos “Goody” Ilagan, Jr. led the inauguration of the soft opening of "FAB-MOA Ferry Service" and FAB Town Terminal.

The FAB-MOA Ferry Service is a direct ferry service from the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) in Mariveles, Bataan to Esplanade Seaside Terminal (EST) at the Mall of Asia (MOA) in Pasay City. The FAB-MOA ferry route is envisioned to be of great benefit to the residents, workers, and the whole municipality of Mariveles as the ferry route cuts a four hour plus bus ride to a one and a half hour trip.

The FAB Town Terminal is located along the Avenue of the Philippines in the FAB, near the Mariveles District Hospital. 1Bataan ITS has set up a temporary docking area and passenger ticketing counter for this terminal while the complete development plan for the FAB Town Terminal is being finalized between AFAB and 1Bataan ITS. Once fully developed, the terminal shall include a passenger lounge, vehicle parking areas, bus station, restaurant, accommodation facilities, and commercial spaces for other future developments.

1Bataan ITS is a Filipino company registered as a FAB Enterprise and is engaged in the business of transportation of cargoes and passengers within the territorial jurisdiction of the Philippines using ferries, motorboats and other kinds of water crafts, and motor land vehicle of all kinds. 1Bataan ITS is a partnership between the Provincial Government of Bataan and Magic Leaf Marine Logistics Corp, also a FAB Registered Enterprise, for the operation of the ferry service. 1Bataan ITS is also the ferry service operator of the Port of Orion-MOA route.
