The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) was among the agencies recently recognized by the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) in honor of its outstanding contributions in mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as other crises experienced in the past year.

Among the notable programs and projects of AFAB in this regard are the establishment of the FAB Quarantine Facility and Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility, the operation of the 1Bataan FABakuna Center, the distribution of aid and relief such as the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), the institutionalization of the AFAB Health Unit, and the launch of the COVID Safety-Assured FAB Enterprise (S.A.F.E.) Shield Program and the FAB Coordination Center (FCC). The AFAB also safeguarded the health and protection of all its employees to ensure continuous public service.

Said appreciation program is still part of CSC’s celebration of the 122nd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA).
