AFAB Opens League of Locators 2019

As part of its continued advocacy on work-life integration in order to achieve workers’ improved quality of living, the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) opened the second season of the much-awaited FAB sports league dubbed as the “FAB League of Locators 2019” (LoL) last 03 June 2019 at the FAB Multipurpose Court, FAB, Mariveles, Bataan.

Organized by the AFAB Corporate Affairs Department, the LoL shall have two (2) main game categories, the basketball for male players and volleyball for female players. A chess competition shall also be held in one-day tournament after the playoffs. The league is expected to run for approximately two months.

While the games provide an opportunity for the workers to engage in wellness activities, the League of Locators shall also serve the purpose of nurturing camaraderie and fellowship among FAB’s registered enterprises and accredited service providers.

To inaugurate the FAB LoL 2019, a motorcade was held around the Freeport attended by the participating teams namely Boast Inc., Mountaineering Instruments Corp. (MICO), Hanmhe Industrial Sales and General Services, Rouvia Road Yacht Design and Construction Corp. (RRYD), FCF Corp., DLX Bags Philippines Inc., Chun Chiang Enterprises Manufacturing Co., Inc., Essilor Manufacturing Philippines, Inc., First Bataan International Group Inc., Heavy Duty Packaging Corp., BFD Global Footwear Mfg Inc., Perpetual Prime Mfg. Inc. (PPMI), Bataan Multi-Pak Inc., RARR Enterprises, Urduja Security Services, Inc., Dunlop Slazenger Philippines Inc., Surex Safe Venture Inc., Mitsumi Philippines Inc., Sumetsu and Camaya Coast Beach Properties. AFAB Chairman and Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda officially opened the league by expressing his gratitude to everyone that allotted their time, money and efforts to participate.

A matchup between Boast Inc. and Mountaineering Instruments Corp. (MICO) served as the culminating game in the league's opening ceremony where Boast Inc. notched the opening day victory with 88 points.
