The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Empresa Homes Inc., last 12 November 2018 on the promotion and marketing of affordable housing units for all FAB employees. Signing was held at the Board Room of the AFAB Administration Building, FAB, Mariveles, Bataan.

The MOA engages both AFAB and Empresa Homes Inc., in undertakings which aims to improve the quality of life of all FAB employees through the promotion of home ownership and marketing of affordable house and lot units.

Under the MOA, AFAB agrees to allow Empresa Homes to conduct marketing activities, display marketing materials and paraphernalia within the FAB, and to designate an area where Empresa Homes can receive applications and reservation payments from FAB employees. Empresa Homes on the other hand agrees to grant FAB employees with a corporate sales discount with rates subject to the conditions specified in the MOA.

Signatories of the MOA include AFAB Chairman and Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda, AFAB Deputy Administrator for Operations Alewijn Aidan K. Ong, Empresa Homes Inc., President Hermilo Gonzales, and Empresa Homes Inc., Treasurer Michelle Hernandez.

During the signing, Chairman Pineda acknowledged how this project is in line with the AFAB’s effort to obtain its “SOFT HEART” (Socially relevant, Operationally viable, Financially feasible, Technologically advanced, Housing, Expansion areas, Accessibility, Renewable energy and Transportation) action agenda. “We welcome you with open hands; this is part of the realization of our dream, personally, my dream of having a SOFT HEART for the FAB… We see this as one more significant step towards the aim of having available housing units and connecting our workers with families through your transport system”, he said.

“We welcome our new partner, in behalf of our Chairman, Senator Manny Villar, in cascading his vision of giving the Filipino people shelter; not only a simple shelter but a shelter that is self-sustaining, a shelter that can provide for the family of AFAB [employees] and all its officer and staff”, President Gonzales added.

Empresa Homes Inc., is a mass housing developer that house and lot developments as well as mid-rise condominiums in major cities in the country. Empresa Homes Mariveles is currently offering ready-for-occupancy units located at Brgy Lucanin, Mariveles Bataan.
