AFAB Honors its Stakeholders at the 6th Annual Stakeholders’ Night

“Let’s raise our right hands and make a fist, clenching the success that we are about to claim together and proudly shout, ATIN ITO!”

Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Chairman and Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda proudly declared in his inspirational message as he presented the AFAB’s overall theme for 2019 – “FAB @ 10: Atin Ito!” in the 6th Annual Stakeholders’ Night last 27 March 2019 at the Grand Innovasia Concept Corporation (GICC) Technopark, FAB, Mariveles, Bataan.

Chairman Pineda expounded on this theme by reminding the guests that what the FAB is today is a reflection of all of its stakeholders. He also encouraged everyone to always exhibit compassion, accountability, ownership and putting one’s self interest behind. “…To sum it all up in one word – Malasakit. Malasakit para sa isa’t isa, malasakit para sa lahat”, he added.

The main highlight of the event was the presentation of awards where the AFAB recognized the outstanding performance of the FAB Registered Enterprises, FAB workers, and AFAB’s partners both in the government and private sectors. Three new awards were introduced namely the Community Building Champion Award, the FABnership Award and the Exemplary FAB Workers Award.

The Community Building Champion Award aims to recognize the efforts of the FAB Registered Enterprises in giving back to the community. The FABnership Award on the other hand, gives proper appreciation to AFAB’s partners in public service both in the government and private sector. Lastly, the Exemplary FAB Workers Award, an award that aims to acknowledge the excellence of one of the most crucial members of the FAB community – the FAB workers.

2nd District of Bataan Representative Jose Enrique Garcia III, during his message, also expressed his gratitude for all of FAB’s stakeholders in helping strengthen the local economy and for their significant contribution to the growth not only of the province of Bataan, but of the country.

The FAB Stakeholders’ Night and the FAB Awards were first conceived in 2015 as part of the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the passage of Republic Act (RA) 9728, the law that established the Freeport in 2010.

Over 200 guests from different government agencies, local and provincial government units, FAB Registered Enterprises, civic organizations, and academe representatives attended the 6th Annual Stakeholders’ Night.
