AFAB Holds its 6th Annual Stakeholders’ Night
To honor the achievements and successes of its stakeholders, the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) held its 6th Annual FAB Stakeholders’ Night last 27 March 2019 at the Grand Innovasia Concept Corporation (GICC) Technopark, FAB, Mariveles, Bataan.
In his opening remarks, AFAB Deputy Administrator for Operations Alewijn Aidan K. Ong expressed his appreciation to all of FAB’s stakeholders and lauded the Freeport’s accomplishments for the past year in terms of employment generation, economic, and financial performance.
“…What the FAB is today is the culmination of all the combined efforts, skills and determination poured in by all of its stakeholders. Without a shadow of doubt, these awards are for all of you – this night is for all of you – the FAB is for all of you”, Mr. Ong added. He also bared the three (3) new awards that the AFAB will be conferring namely: the Community Building Champion Award, the FABnership Award, and the Exemplary FAB workers Award.
The event was graced by the presence of 2nd District of Bataan Representative Jose Enrique Garcia III, Hon. Gaudencio C. Ferrer, FABILA President Patrick Martinet, and officials from various government agencies. Also in attendance were the executives from 64 different FAB Registered Enterprises, FAB workers, as well as representatives of the various attached government agencies, socio-civic private groups, and banks and other members of the financial sector.
FPF Manufacturing Corporation emerged as the overall 2018 Top FAB Exporter, FCF Manufacturing Corporation as the 2018 Top FAB Employer, and Perpetual Prime Mfg. Inc. as the Top Community Builder Award. For the FABnership award, three government agencies and two private sectors were awarded.
The FAB Stakeholders’ Night is an annual event of the AFAB which aims to recognize the achievements and various endeavors of the different stakeholders of the Freeport. Part of the annual festivities is the awarding of the FAB Awards – awards that recognize the outstanding performance of the FAB Registered Enterprises, FAB Workers, and AFAB’s partners both in the government and private sectors.
