AFAB, Citicore, Megawide join hands for 2017 Brigada Eskwela

AFAB volunteers and staff of Citicore and Megawide Foundation joined the Brigada Eskwela activities in MNHS-Poblacion and BEPZ Elementary School

MARIVELES – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), in partnership with Citicore Powe, Inc. and Megawide Foundation, has supported anew the annual back to school program of the Department of Education (DepEd), giving donations to nine public schools in Bataan.

The Authority and its locator took part in the weeklong Brigada Eskwela, also known as National Schools Maintenance Week, of Mariveles National High School (MNHS) Poblacion, MNHS-Cabcaben, MNHS- Cabcaben Senior High in Alasasin, Bataan National High School, BEPZ Elementary School, Cabcaben Elementary School, Bayview Elementary School, Mt. View Elementary School and Mabatang High School.

The AFAB representatives and Citicore and Megawide staff headed by Community Relations Officer Marc Jason Quejada also helped in painting some of the facilities of MNHS-Poblacion, the largest secondary school in Bataan in terms of populations, BEPZ Elementary School and MNHS- Cabcaben Senior High.

“The Authority reiterates its support to the educational programs of the local government of Bataan and DepEd. We have been helping schools every year during Brigada Eskwela. This year, with the help of Citicore and Megawide Foundation, we were able to increase our donations,” AFAB Chairman and Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda said.

“With this program, we hope to help make schools in Mariveles more conducive for learning,” the chairman added.
